Boardroom Beauty is a collective community + media platform redefining what leadership looks like in the beauty industry.
We empower rising beauty leaders—primarily Black and Brown women—on their path to senior executive roles through curated experiences, community building, and elevated visibility.
Our mission is twofold:
Elevate the next generation of beauty leaders with the tools, confidence, and connections to rise.
Activate the current generation of executives as mentors, sponsors, and champions of change.
THE FOUNDER
Lydia Drakeford is a beauty industry connector, strategist, and storyteller with eight years of experience across beauty, retail, and media.
Prior to founding Boardroom Beauty, she spent six years at Google leading multimillion-dollar marketing partnerships for top global beauty brands, helping shape how they showed up across digital platforms. Lydia is currently an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School (May 2026), where she serves on the Board of the Columbia Beauty Club and continues to deepen her expertise in brand building and the future of beauty.
She is also a frequent panelist and moderator, known for bringing sharp industry insight and thoughtful conversations to the forefront. Her core strengths span integrated media, partnerships, business development, programming, and marketing—with a passion for elevating and connecting the next generation of beauty leaders.
